Southern Power Unleashed!!

This photo was taken at the last stop of the Melancholic Gigolo/Love Symphony national tour, in Okinawa. It was the first time I’d ever been to Okinawa, so I was having the time of my life (laughs). I played around the whole time outside of performances (laughs). We basked in the sun at the beach and got so much energy from the photosynthesis… Thanks to that, even though we went straight into rehearsals for Takarazuka Special after getting back, everyone was curious about “How on earth is Flower Troupe so full of energy?” (laughs)

Barbecue with the national tour cast!!

We had a string of holidays during the rehearsals for At the End of a Long Spring/Canon, so we all had a barbecue party in the mountains nearby! I was in such high spirits!! I’m a wild child who loves nature after all (laughs). After enjoying the barbecue, I decided I was tired of eating and suddenly went by myself to climb along the rocks in a clear stream, but then for some reason everyone else followed me (laughs). I was able to walk along just fine, but Ranju (Tomu) got so soaked that there was water pooling in her shoes (laughs).

During a break in the rehearsals for Resurrection ~Infatuation Is Over, Love Remains~, I was thinking I wanted to draw something that combined this year’s Chinese Zodiac animal with the Russian theme of the play, and then Yuuma Rin-san said “How about a dragon-Matryoshka?”, so I tried drawing it (laughs). Apparently, Yuuma-san’s idea was “A matryoshka doll wearing clothes with a dragon pattern”, but I ended up making a total amalgamation (laughs). I thought ‘dragons have whiskers too, right’ and gave it a moustache, so it turned out looking just like Director Ishida. But I’m sure it will bring you all good luck, so you can be on the lookout for that any time (laughs)
