Takarazuka Flower Troupe – First Lead Bow for a 100th class member opens starring Seino Asuka – ‘I’m growing every day’
The Takarazuka Revue Flower Troupe’s Bow Hall production, PRINCE OF ROSES – The Man led by the Crown (written and directed by Takeda Yuuichiro) opened on the 28th.
Seino Asuka, a young hopeful who is just completing her 7th year, after entering the company in March of 2014, was given the first Bow lead of the 100th class.
The show is based on ‘The War of the Roses’, the 15th century conflict over the throne between the English noble houses of Lancaster and York. Seino plays Henry Tudor, a member of the Lancaster house who puts an end to the fighting and ascends to the throne as Henry VII. Even when he is in pain, he behaves with even more gallantry, putting on a beautiful yet virile mask and presenting himself with an impressive attitude.
Seino said “I want to work hard so that I can grow every day until the show closes.”
Hoshizora Misaki, who entered the company in 2019, Is the first member of the 105th class to perform as a Bow heroine. Even though she is only in her second year, she worked unflinchingly at her difficult role of Isabelle, a mysterious woman who comes from France. Her energy resembles that of former Top Musumeyaku Manaki Reika, and she seems certain to attract attention in the future.
The show plays until Feb 7th.
