Signature

Point #1
Last year I loved monotones, and recently I’m really into earth tones, so I tried to unify everything in shades of green. The shirt I’m wearing on top is transparent, so I thought it was summery. It’s fun since the feeling changes depending on what I’m wearing under it.

Point #2
I like putting gold accessories together with earth tones. The ring in the middle is one Asumi (Rio)-san gave me as a keepsake when she was dividing up her things so I treasure it.

Story behind your stage name
I’m a huge fan of Asumi Rio, so the first thing I thought was that I wanted a name that had a ‘watery’ feeling1. A relative came up with a list of possible names, and I fell in love with ‘Ichinose’ the second I saw it. ‘Se/瀬’ means ‘a place with water’, apparently, and adding my determination to keep aiming for greater heights, ‘the top place’, I decided on Ichinose. In the given name, ‘Kou/航’ is from the idea of an ocean voyage (koukai/航海), and ‘Ki/季’ is from the Japanese four seasons (shiki/四季), which I love.

My current favorite thing!
The radio show ‘Fuwa-chan’s All Night Nippon Zero’. Especially the episodes with Anmika on as a guest, they’re just awesome! They’re both such positive personalities and I can’t stop laughing, so I can listen over and over. I started listening to radio when I was cast as a radio DJ in Senhor CRUZEIRO! and now I love it.

Advertise yourself!
It feels like 10 years went by in a flash, but I’m glad I stuck with it, and it’s really made me realize how powerful the audience is. I want the act of taking the stage to express my gratitude to Takarazuka and to the audience. There are so many unique performers in Flower Troupe these days, so as an otokoyaku I want to do my best to make people think ‘I’m glad they gave that role to Ichinose Kouki’!

Describe your personality in one word
I feel like I’m ‘positive’. Of course I get down sometimes, but I try to keep that to as short a time as possible and work to stay cheerful. People often tell me I’m ‘calm’, as well. I definitely think I’m laid-back, but after entering Takarazuka I’ve gotten into the habit of getting things done briskly.

1 – The ‘mi’ in Asumi is the kanji character for ‘ocean’ (海)
