Troupe Report is a Kageki feature where an appointed reporter will write about current events in the troupe, often via Q&A content with questions solicited from readers. Reporters are generally only replaced on retirement, unlike other backstage features that rotate monthly or quarterly.
This edition was written by Ootori Mayu and features mainly Q&As with Asumi Rio and other Flower Troupe stars.
Flower Troupe Report, Ootori Mayu

How are you, everyone!? Right now Flower Troupe is in the middle of our Tokyo Takarazuka Theatre performance. Usually, I do my Troupe Report by taking questions from readers, but recently I actually want to ask you some things. How are you surviving this heat? This seems to be a question we’ll be struggling with for a long time. I know I’m the one asking and gathering all these questions, but I do think feeling the changing seasons is one of the happy things for Japanese people. Alright, I’ll stop my intro here and let’s move on to this month’s column!!!!
⭐️ Asumi Rio-san
Q: Mirio-san, do you ever make homemade food for other troupe members or your classmates? (Takarazuka Flower)
Miririn (Asumi): “I dooo ❤️” she says.
And then Kirari-san (Kaga Ririka) says “The fried chicken she makes is really good!!” What! What’s with this. I want some!!
Miririn: “Also, Chinese food is easy~”
What! Easy?
Miririn: “My specialty is chili shrimp!”
Whoa~
Miririn: “I can make other delicious stuff like soup with fluffy chicken dumplings or pork mille feiulles hot pot ❤️” she tells me!
My stomach is growling just listening to this (it’s right after the end of a two-show day). I want to eat Miririn’s home cookiiiiing!!!!
⭐️ Houzuki An
Q: Houzuki An-san is always in such amazing shape. Does she do anything to preserve her figure? (Anonymous Please)
“Uh,” and then silence for a while (laughs). “I eat and stuff…” Right. Even though ever since the Music School, whenever I’ve run into Chinatsu she has the same slim figure, she loves to eat so much it surprises everyone around her. “Oh! But I’m using those things! Those like, really tiny sandals where you have to work to keep balanced and it naturally tones your muscles. It’s really hard to wash my face and stuff wearing those. I think they’re really working on my inner muscles.”
That’s so impressive!!!! So, how long has she been using those?
“… It hasn’t even been a week yet.”
Bless her heart.
⭐️ Serika Toa-san
Q: Where does the nickname ‘Kiki’ come from? (Blue Cat)
“When I was in my first year, I had more hair and the style was fluffier. It started when Aran Kei-san saw me and said ‘You look like Kiki from the Little Twin Stars!'”
Her nickname was bestowed by Aran Kei-san! That’s an amazing history! But besides that, why does she have less hair now? I got so curious. Maybe I should have a surprise interview…
⭐️ Ootori Mayu
Q: Are there any places you want to go or things you want to do during the Taiwan tour? (Chocolat)
It’s my first time being in Taiwan ever, so I have no idea what the atmosphere is going to be like! But I definitely want to try authentic local xiaolongbao. Also I want to go to this place called Jiufen.
Alright, that’s all, so I’ll see you next month!
