Takarazuka Police Station appoints Takarazuka Revue member Agata Sen as Traffic Safety Representative for a day

Before the beginning of the autumn National Traffic Safety Movement (Sept 21-30), the Hyogo Prefectural Police Takarazuka Station held a traffic accident prevention campaign on the 20th, appointing Takarazuka Revue Snow Troupe otokoyaku Agata Sen as ‘Takarazuka Traffic Safety Representative For a Day’.

Agata entered the Takarazuka Revue in 2015, as part of the 101st class. She made her debut in April of that year, in 1789: Les Amants de la Bastille. Agata made an inspection tour of the city center in a Takarazuka Police patrol car, escorted by a white police motorcycle, before making an address outside the Hankyuu Takarazuka Station.

According to the police station, last year in this prefecture the number of traffic accidents from September through December were 1.7 times those which occured from May through August. Agata urged around 200 fans who had gathered “Wear reflective items, or bright clothing, if you are walking during the evening.”

After that, accompanied by Mayor Nakagawa Tomoko, she led a parade through the Takarazuka Sorio mall. She smiled and waved to passers-by, calling out “Please use your seatbelt even if you’re sitting in the back seat!” or “Using your smartphone while walking is unsafe!”

A 34-year-old woman from Osaka’s Higashiyodogawa district, who stated that she was a fan of Snow Troupe, said “She was so cute. I’ll make sure to do what Agata-san said.”
