Tell all! Mirio

Personal motto:
“Do what needs to be done!”
Although I’m normally a laid-back, relaxed person, I want to be someone who can be relied on when the occasion calls for it.

Someone you’re interested in:
Yoshida You-san1.

The very first thing you do in the morning:
Wage an endless battle with my alarm clock.
It goes off. I stop it. It goes off. I stop it.
This no-quarter battle can go on for 30 to 50 minutes.
After the alarm clock has finally managed to rouse me a bit, I’ll put my contacts in.

Something that gives you inner healing, or something you do to refresh yourself:
I eat tasty rice.

What you always do right before doing onstage:
I take a deep breath and relax my whole body. Then, I crack all my knuckles (laughs). It might look creepy to whoever’s next to me, but doing that helps me calm down.

Your ‘power food’:
Soumen! I’ll eat it basically every day in the summer. As for all-year-round foods, meat and rice.

Stock pose:

Of course I always do this ‘Flower Troupe Pose’; you could say it’s the stock pose for everybody in Flower Troupe. The most important point is, you can’t just be like ‘Is it kind of like this?’, you have to really go for it! This time I’m taking a bit of a narrow stance since this picture has to fit on the magazine page, but it looks more manly with your legs further apart. When you’re about to do it, you have to rouse your otokoyaku spirit and commit to your expression! Although in photoshoots I usually feel that being relaxed is important, when I’m doing the “Flower Troupe Pose” I focus all my energies, and also make sure I have a bit of a playful spirit, and I’m also feeling like I want everyone to be happy when I do it.

Your method of releasing stress:
I think about myself as being cute for feeling nervous.
“What! No way, you’re nervous? So I have cute points after all!” I’ll think (laughs). Also, since when I am nervous, it brings my heart rate up and raises my body temperature, so I try to change how I think about it and tell myself that it’ll make my voice come out better.

Your treasure:
The bonds I have with everyone around me. The relationships I’ve gradually built up over all this time are an irreplaceable treasure for me.

Your weak point:
Low atmospheric pressure.
When I feel like my head’s aching, I’m feeling lethargic, I seem to be having trouble breathing…
“It must be about to rain!!!” I’ll realize.

The thing you most regret losing:
If it’s something I can lose, I don’t miss it.
