Current State of Me

Stars bring you their status update!

Moon Troupe: Yumena Rune
Recently I got my hands on a Bluray box set of the Furuhata Ninzaburou1 series, something I’ve loved since I was a little kid. When we’d watch it as a family we’d have debates over our analysis of the characters, and I’d watch my favorite episodes over so many times that I could perform ‘one-man Furuhata’ (laughs). It feels great having it all close to hand, even the rare episodes, and diving into the show is so refreshing. Right now I’m telling myself to make sure I relax at home when I have time, like the day before a holiday, so I’ll play them with the excuse that it’s just background noise. But then when I actually start watching them again I’ll get so into even the fine details that in the end I’m fully concentrating on the video (laughs).

Snow Troupe: Asazuki Kiwa
Recently I’ve been sharing photos around with classmates, even girls who have already graduated, and having a lot of laughs. Two more of my classmates are about to retire, but with Kazuki (Sora) transferring to Snow Troupe, this makes a total of 11 members of our class who’ve spent time in Snow Troupe! I think it’s not often you have this many. Also, recently I’m really into FEILER2: I’m collecting their minibags and mini handkerchiefs. They come out with a ton of designs every season, and especially with the handkerchiefs I already have too many in my house to count (laughs). I choose them to match my mood each day. They’re a total must-have for me, I can’t relax without one in my bag.

Flower Troupe: Hiryuu Tsukasa
I’d like to tell you a little about my favorite anime today, My Hero Academia. First of all, it’s so cool the way it opens with the monologue ‘This is the story of how I became the ultimate hero’. And although it’s a story about superhumans, all the characters are written with such detail that you can really get into their emotions. Watching the different heroes striving for their dreams motivates me too: when I’m doing workouts or taking lessons I’m always mentally telling myself ‘PLUS ULTRA’, the catchphrase in the show that means ‘go past your limits’, and it makes me ‘remember my origins!’ and work hard thinking about how I started out. The episodes with the boss fights between the heroes and villains are super intense, so I always end up crying. It’s an amazing anime!

Cosmos Troupe: Kazeiro Hyuuga
What I’ve always been into is singing my favorite songs. I like Yamazaki Ikusaburou so I’ll sing his musical numbers, and also recent songs like Da-iCE’s CITRUS or DISH//’s Neko…there’s so many different technical styles mixed together. I’m learning a lot by watching videos and analyzing the different things, although I’m really just playing around (laughs). I love singing. As for things that happened recently…In the Queen’s Tea Party scene of Delicieux!, after I finish my quick change and run up the stairs I get to see Makaze in her incredibly cool Fersen look wave at me. You wouldn’t believe how much energy that gives me!
