Moon Troupe Troupe Report, February 2023

Troupe Report is a Kageki feature where an appointed reporter will write about current events in the troupe, often via Q&A content with questions solicited from readers. Reporters are generally only replaced on retirement, unlike other backstage features that rotate monthly or quarterly.

This edition was written by Harumi Yuu, and talks about Tsukishiro Kanato’s birthday festivities around the GOAT rehearsals.

This month I’d like to make this a report all about celebrating the birthday of our troupe’s Top Star 🍰

Tsukishiro Kanato was born on New Year’s Eve, December 31, so instead of her actual birthday, we proceeded with our preparations to celebrate on the last rehearsal day of the year for the [GOAT] concert team 😉

For this year’s present, we created a blanket with photos of everyone in the troupe, so that even in the cold winter season she could warm herself with the love of all the Moon Troupe members 😘 We made our order for extreme rush shipping and waited for it to arrive so we could decorate it ❤️ At least that was the plan, but we waited and waited and it didn’t turn up. What was going on. We forgot to allow for the postage delays caused by the end of year holidays. What were we to do? It wouldn’t get here by the day of our celebration. We were completely lost, but (Shirayuki) Sachika and Chinatsu-san (Houzuki An) suggested that we ask her to please wait until the New Year for her present 😀 and we settled on that method the night before the party.

While a bunch of us were chatting and your reporter was feeling restless about the party the next day…

Tsukishiro: So is the cake for tomorrow big? Hey, is it big? 😮 Is it round? Is it square?? 😮

She was totally interrogating us 🤣

She only wanted to be sure that there would be enough for everyone including the most junior members and the staff! is what she insisted to us, but somehow it was so so cute to see Reiko-san so obsessed with the size of her cake. Everyone around was taken out 😏

Then the day arrived. The moment Reiko-san left the room after rehearsals ended we all got ready and turned the lights off to wait, and the moment she got back we all welcomed her 🍰 with a bang 🎉

Reiko-san sprang into the room with a fairylike bound 🧚‍♀️

She looked so happy 😀❤️

Everyone in the troupe, singing her the birthday song and each dancing along in their own way and waving balloons, looked so happy too ❤️

And despite Reiko-san’s worries she got a really really big cake so we all had plenty to share and eat 🍰

We’d been in touch with (Yumena) Rune to prepare a birthday wishes video from the Bow Hall team, so we were able to show that, and after our final rehearsal of the year ended in this warm atmosphere, the long-awaited blanket finally arrived with the new year. We were glued to the package tracking!!!

We waited so long!!!

Sachika-san, Chinatsu-san, and Umi (Umino Mitsuki) added the decorations and we were able to safely give it to her ✌️

Tsukishiro: Ah~ ✨ It’s finally here 😀🙌

We’re so sorry you had to wait 🤣

Even going into the new year our celebratory mood keeps going 😉

Reiko-san, may this be another wonderful year for you 🫶
