Star Troupe Troupe Report – November 2023

Troupe Report is a Kageki feature where an appointed reporter will write about current events in the troupe, often via Q&A content with questions solicited from readers. Reporters are generally only replaced on retirement, unlike other backstage features that rotate monthly or quarterly.

This edition was written by Kozakura Honoka, and talks about events backstage of the ME AND MY GIRL tour which featured Senka guest actress Minami Maito.

Heartpounding and Exciting #11 – Ashizawa Jin interview with Amahana Ema

Ashizawa Jin is an illustrator/columnist who seems to have worked for GRAPH since the 1960s (yes, you read that right). His interview column gets a new title every year but usually the format is fairly similar. The 2018 column was called Heartpounding and Exciting, and this interview with Amahana Ema was published in the December 2018 issue.

Sparkling TIME is a long-running Kageki talk feature which includes a photoshoot (designed by the participants) and talk between performers, usually classmates. Akatsuki, Amahana, and Rukaze’s was published in the October 2017 issue.

Backstage Journal: Amahana Ema (The Scarlet Pimpernel)

Backstage Journal is a short Kageki feature where very young cast members write anecdotes about what’s going on behind the scenes of the productions. They’re not very deep, being full of emojis and more like blog entries than articles, but they are a good way to get to know the newest actresses in each troupe.

This one is by Star Troupe member Amahana Ema, and was published in the July 2017 issue.
