This talk from the January 1998 Kageki <\/em>pre-dates the creation of Cosmos Troupe, and features 3 of its future members discussing those prospects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This feature was translated from Shizuki’s memorial book anthology, but seems to be unabridged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cRush! Fresh!! Push!!!\u201d Shizuki Asato and Asami Hikaru with Yumeki Noa<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shizuki:<\/em> Komu-chan (Asami), you were in Flower Troupe with me for three years, right?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Asami:<\/em> That\u2019s right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yumeki:<\/em> When I was a ken-1, I was in Flower Troupe for a year because of troupe rotations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shizuki:<\/em> What, really?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Asami:<\/em> So we were actually in the same troupe together\u2026 But there\u2019s still tons of things I don\u2019t know about Zunko-san\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shizuki:<\/em> Ask me whatever you like!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Asami:<\/em> Is it okay even if it\u2019s something serious?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shizuki:<\/em> Sure, go ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Asami:<\/em> Is there something you\u2019re good at cooking?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shizuki:<\/em> What\u2019s serious about that! [laughs] I\u2019m pretty good at gooking anything. If somebody says \u2018cook this\u2019 I can make anything, but if I don\u2019t have to I won\u2019t cook. I\u2019m best at stuff like curry, stew, and beef stroganoff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yumeki:<\/em> Let\u2019s flip that around, is there something you\u2019d like people to make for you?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shizuki:<\/em> Rice! [laughs]<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yumeki:<\/em> If that\u2019s it I can probably manage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shizuki:<\/em> I\u2019ll be content with just warm rice and miso soup. If anyone would like to cook for me, I\u2019m hiring~!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Asami: <\/em>If you say stuff like that you\u2019ll get mobbed! [laughs]<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shizuki:<\/em> Actually, I love eating breakfast. As soon as I get up I can eat steak or anything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yumeki:<\/em> Me too! Cake or whatever is OK!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Asami:<\/em> Whaaaat!?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shizuki:<\/em> When I go to bed at night, I fall asleep looking forward to what I\u2019ll eat for breakfast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Asami:<\/em> I don\u2019t get hungry at all until midday. So I don\u2019t believe you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yumeki:<\/em> I like having a bit of a drink before bed; what about you, Zunko-san?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shizuki:<\/em> I do too! There\u2019s always gin and such in my fridge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yumeki:<\/em> Same here!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Asami:<\/em> Are you particular about glassware?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shizuki:<\/em> I\u2019m ridiculously fussy about it! But all my nice crystal, like Baccarat, shattered in an earthquake\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Asami:<\/em> I can see you in a dressing gown with your legs crossed, holding a Baccarat glass\u2026and of course with the lights dimmed\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shizuki:<\/em> [laughs] I do like a dark room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yumeki:<\/em> Me too!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shizuki:<\/em> We really think alike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yumeki:<\/em> I like scented candles, so I\u2019ll light some and then drink with the lights off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shizuki:<\/em> Same here! We should move in together!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yumeki:<\/em> I-if this gets printed I\u2019m in for it! [laughs]<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shizuki:<\/em> I don\u2019t like bright rooms. So my room is full of ennui.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Asami:<\/em> So cool! I\u2019m the opposite. If it\u2019s not nice and bright I feel weird. I couldn\u2019t live with Zunko-san\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shizuki: <\/em>Bummer\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Asami:<\/em> You don\u2019t look disappointed at all!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shizuki, Yumeki:<\/em> [laughs]<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yumeki:<\/em> Your room must be nice and neat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shizuki:<\/em> I\u2019m a person who loves cleaning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Asami: <\/em>You can cook and clean too! You\u2019d make a great wife!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shizuki:<\/em> Actually, I\u2019ve recently decided to reject marriage. [laughs] I like living alone too much, you know?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Asami:<\/em> That\u2019s right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yumeki:<\/em> When I was in grade school, I wrote an essay in Home Economics about how I would never ever get married, and the teacher got really mad at me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shizuki, Asami:<\/em> [laughs]<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shizuki:<\/em> You should do what you like, and live how you want.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Asami:<\/em> At the end I\u2019d like to ask one actually serious question. Now that a new troupe is finally being created, what kind of troupe do you want to make it into?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shizuki:<\/em> I want it to be a troupe where it\u2019s as if all kind of things were put in a box to freely mix together. I want to avoid unnecessary separations between junior and senior actresses as much as possible, so that there\u2019s an environment where anyone can mutually discuss anything. At this point, nothing\u2019s really fixed about the new troupe, so I want us to all work together bit by bit to create it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Asami:<\/em> Hearing you say things like that makes me really excited, Zunko-san.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yumeki:<\/em> I\u2019m really happy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shizuki:<\/em> I\u2019m sure it\u2019ll be hard to start from square one, but I want to \u201copen the door\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Asami:<\/em> And then we\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
