Sparkling TIME is a long-running photo\/talk feature from Kageki. Hiroki and Chitose\u2019s was published in the September 2016 issue. They are classmates from the 89th class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
Sparkling Time: Nanami Hiroki (Star Troupe)\/Junya Chitose (Cosmos Troupe)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Junya:<\/em> Although even after Kai-chan (Nanami) ended up in a different troupe, we still had several opportunities to do photoshoots together, it\u2019s been a while since we were able to have a photoshoot together so I\u2019m really happy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nanami:<\/em> There\u2019s no nervousness, right? It\u2019s just calm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Junya:<\/em> Yeah, yeah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nanami: <\/em>Since we\u2019re classmates we can feel totally comfortable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Junya:<\/em> Right! When they take the photos it feels like we\u2019re so close together, it\u2019s such a mysterious feeling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nanami:<\/em> Right, right (laughs), I understand. I\u2019ve worked with Seiko (Junya) for so long, and even though we\u2019re already classmates you feel really special somehow (laughs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Junya:<\/em> Oh~! Thank you (blushes).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nanami: <\/em>Before we took the Takarazuka Music School entrance exam, we were already going to the same ballet school, right?<\/p>\n\n\n\n Junya:<\/em> Right. We took lessons together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nanami:<\/em> Even then the shape of your face was so pretty, I was like \u2018with these looks surely she\u2019ll be able to make it.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n Junya:<\/em> Cut it out! (laughs)<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nanami:<\/em> Do you remember me? From back then.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Junya:<\/em> I remember. You wore glasses\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nanami:<\/em> Yeah. I was a really uncool kid, I think. I really lucked out passing the exam (laughs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Junya:<\/em> You were a total diamond in the rough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nanami: <\/em>Ahahaha (laughs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Junya:<\/em> I\u2019ll never forget how the two of us had to dance wearing corsets in ballet school (laughs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nanami:<\/em> I\u2019d never done any ballet before, so my back hurt so much when I first tried it (laughs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Junya: <\/em>Your back was so surprised at what you were doing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nanami:<\/em> I wasn\u2019t used to that kind of thing at all. So us two ended up with corsets fastened over our leotards\u2026I\u2019ll never forget that (laughs). The TMS-era Seiko was still an otokoyaku, so you were a lot more energetic and businesslike than you are now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Junya:<\/em> Right, since I was trying to go for otokoyaku.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nanami:<\/em> It felt like you were like \u2018I\u2019ve got to do this properly!\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n Junya: <\/em>I do seem to remember that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nanami:<\/em> You were really driving into the wind. You had such conviction, \u2018I\u2019m gonna be an otokoyaku!\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n Junya:<\/em> Kai-chan was even more spacey than you are now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nanami:<\/em> Yeah. I became fairly well organized over time, I think.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Junya:<\/em> You looked like you were just letting time flow around you without being very aware of it. Although you\u2019re still like that now, your time in TMS was on an entirely different level (laughs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nanami:<\/em> Up until then my world had been very relaxed towards time, so after coming to Takarazuka I started working hard and trying to be efficient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nanami:<\/em> Seiko came to Cosmos Troupe as of\u2026 Ace Attorney 2<\/em>, when you played my lover, wasn\u2019t it?<\/p>\n\n\n\n Junya:<\/em> Right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nanami:<\/em> Back then you were like \u2018I don\u2019t know what it feels like to be a girl in love!\u2019 (laughs)<\/p>\n\n\n\n Junya:<\/em> I hadn\u2019t experienced that kind of role before, though (laughs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nanami:<\/em> You struggled with stuff like \u2018I like you, professor!\u2019 so you were really stressed out\u2026 We rehearsed those things together. Although I have to say, I don\u2019t really understand what it\u2019s like to be a girl in love either (laughs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Junya:<\/em> Hahaha (laughs). I really learned a lot from you. Speaking of that, in one scene Kai-chan\u2019s contact fell out, right? (laughs)<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nanami:<\/em> Aaah!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Junya:<\/em> When you turned back I could see it stuck on your eyelashes! Even though it was a really deep and serious scene I was like \u2018what if i blew it away?\u2019 (laughs)<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nanami:<\/em> I\u2019m really sorry about that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Junya: <\/em>I thought that if I laughed, my life in Takarazuka was over, so I managed to hold out (laughs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nanami:<\/em> I was so totally focused on my own performance that I hadn\u2019t given a single thought to what I might look like to my partner. That must have been so hard on you, I\u2019m sorry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Junya:<\/em> It was mostly just funny (laughs)<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nanami:<\/em> And Ranju (Tomu)-san also dealt with that and all my other slip-ups\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n Junya: <\/em>She\u2019s so generous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nanami:<\/em> Right, that\u2019s it. \u2018Whatever happens, it\u2019s OK\u2019 – that kind of really accepting person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Junya:<\/em> We were able to dive into things all together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nanami: <\/em>After that, we had all sorts of performance experiences, and then the next time we were able to experience the joy of performing together was\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n Both: TOP HAT!!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Nanami:<\/em> We played a middle-aged married couple (laughs). Actually, that \u2018I can\u2019t stand you\u2019 song is one my my all-time favorites and I still listen to it once in a while.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Junya:<\/em> Me too. Sometimes I\u2019ll just start humming it (laughs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nanami:<\/em> I\u2019ll use it in my vocal practice and such.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Junya:<\/em> Hahaha (laughs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nanami:<\/em> I had to learn a lot about how to do my voice for that role, so that was fun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Junya: <\/em>We talked several times about how we could best look like a couple, right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nanami:<\/em> Right, since the amount of time we\u2019d been together was important to the atmosphere of the story. Unlike lovers, a married couple is way more comfortable around each other (laughs)<\/p>\n\n\n\n Junya:<\/em> Right (laughs). And that was Kai-chan\u2019s last performance before transferring to Star Troupe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nanami:<\/em> Although I had Ichijou in Star Troupe, I thought \u2018with me going all of Seiko\u2019s classmates will be gone~\u2019. \u2026How are you holding up without me? (laughs)<\/p>\n\n\n\n Junya: <\/em>Well, honestly, I am a bit lonely. But that just makes times like this when we can do photoshoots, or appear on stage together, even more fun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nanami:<\/em> That\u2019s right. Also, it\u2019s really fun to go and see each other\u2019s performances. Seiko is doing such a good job working with everyone in Cosmos Troupe, so you yourself are shining, and as your classmate I\u2019m proud to see the \u201cJunya Chitose position\u201d being established within Takarazuka.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Junya: <\/em>Come on now (laughs). Recently I also went to see Kai-chan\u2019s Blazing Wind<\/em>, and I thought you\u2019d improved so much and become really manly (laughs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nanami:<\/em> Thank you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Junya:<\/em> Internally, when I go to see a performance of someone I\u2019m close with, I\u2019ll end up thinking \u2018Oh, I wonder if they\u2019re doing okay,\u2019 and that closeness will get in the way, but I was really able to get totally into it, and I cried so much!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nanami:<\/em> You came into the dressing room sobbing, I remember. Every show I\u2019m in, I spend a lot of time considering how I can make the audience enjoy themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Junya:<\/em> Right, right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nanami:<\/em> I can\u2019t be \u2018Nanami Hiroki\u2019 just for myself. It\u2019s because of the fans\u2019 support that I\u2019ve come this far. And since they\u2019ve supported me, I want to be a performer who can give them energy and happiness. I\u2019m determined not to forget my gratitude to them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Junya:<\/em> You say such cool things~<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nanami:<\/em> Ahahaha (laughs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Junya:<\/em> For me too, there a lot of roles I can only do now, I feel, so I want to take on roles that really contribute to the shows in an acting sense.
