Ren Tsukasa\u2019s column on the members of the 97th class was published in GRAPH<\/em> through 2018. Her interview with Umino Mitsuki was published in the January issue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ren\u2019s columns includes recipes! I haven\u2019t tested them yet so I can\u2019t guarantee results, but I\u2019ve tried to make sure they are understandable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

REN\u2019S KITCHEN – Umino Mitsuki (Moon Troupe)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hello, Takarazuka GRAPH readers!! I\u2019m Moon Troupe 97th class member Ren Tsukasa. All through this year, I\u2019m going to be writing this Classmates Investigation Page. The 97th class members are all full of individuality, and I\u2019m going to gradually draw out their appeal and work hard to write an enjoyable column every issue, so I hope you will keep reading!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First guest: Umino Mitsuki (Moon Troupe)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

~About their costume theme~<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ren:<\/em> Once it was decided that the guest for the memorable first column would be Umi (Umino), we started talking about \u2018What should our costumes be?\u2019\u2026 The first ideas we had were \u2018Disney OR strawberries\u2019 (laughs)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Umino:<\/em> Right! I like the Disney Princesses and such\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ren:<\/em>\u00a0But, since it was such a rare opportunity we thought it would be best to go for a broad topic, so we decided on this! Strawberries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Umino:<\/em> My beloved strawberries\u2026 (laughs) Somehow I have a ton of strawberry things. And if my classmates know about any tasty strawberry sweets they\u2019ll tell me about them, and I also check for new products to buy\u2026 (laugh).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ren:<\/em> But you never dreamed you\u2019d become a strawberry! (laughs) How did it feel?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Umino: <\/em>It was surprisingly hard to keep the shape right. See, it sort of looks like a tomato, you know (laughs). But it was a lot of fun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ren:<\/em> While we\u2019ve been photographed before, we haven\u2019t had a chance to be photographed together before, have we? In classmate photographs they would have all the otokoyaku and musumeyaku separately\u2026 Therefore, this felt really new and fun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

~First impressions of each other~<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Umino:<\/em> My first impression of you? Serious!! Super serious and diligent (laughs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ren:<\/em> Eh? Ever since TMS?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Umino:<\/em> Yeah! I thought you were a really sensitive and methodical type who would be like \u2018That\u2019s wrong!!\u2019 if something was a centimeter or even a millimeter off (laughs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ren:<\/em> You thought? (laughs)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Umino: <\/em>Yeah!! (laughs) But in the past tense\u2026 (laughs)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ren:<\/em> My first impression of Umi\u2026hmm\u2026 What was it?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Umino:<\/em> I tried not to be noticed\u2026 (laughs)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ren:<\/em> You did!! I don\u2019t really have much of an impression (laughs). But if I think about it\u2026you had really white skin. Besides that, when you were roommates with our classmate Nana (Sara Anna), I would often go to eat hotpot and such there, so I most likely felt it was fun to have a good time all together like that\u2026 But honestly, in TMS, we didn\u2019t interact much, did we?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Umino:<\/em> Not really. I don\u2019t think I was that close with our other Moon Troupe classmates at the time, either. It\u2019s interesting to think about.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ren:<\/em> Also, when an exam was coming up and we\u2019d all be dancing, I feel like Umi-chan was the only one who didn\u2019t get tired and would just keep dancing~ Even after I would be like \u2018No more!\u2019 (laughs)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Umino: <\/em>Once the music\u2019s on I just want to dance!! That\u2019s the type of person I was. Ah, but maybe I still am now!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ren:<\/em> You definitely are!! When you\u2019re dancing, you always have such a nice expression, and you show how much you\u2019re enjoying yourself with your whole body \ud83d\udc96 It\u2019s really great!! It\u2019s wonderful!! (laughs)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

~Being assigned to Moon Troupe~<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Umino:<\/em> Maybe the first time I felt \u2018I\u2019m a Moon Troupe member!!\u2019 was in the first production after my assignment, Romeo et Juliette<\/em>? Actually, when I was a fan, I just watched Star Troupe, so I always thought \u2018I\u2019m gonna be in Star Troupe!\u2019 (laughs) And my debut was in Star Troupe too\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ren:<\/em> (laughs)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Umino:<\/em> In that production the sense of individuality of all the Moon Troupe members came through really strongly, and I felt like it was a troupe that really loved acting. I remember it really vividly even now!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ren:<\/em> Is that so\u2026 As for me, since I had been in Moon Troupe ever since my troupe rotations, Romeo et Juliette<\/em> was the first show where I participated as a proper member of the troupe\u2026 But it was my first time being able to perform in a shinjin kouen, and my first time acting together with the senior actresses\u2026 I have a lot of deep memories of it. Is there anything else you have a strong impression of?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Umino:<\/em> When I appeared in the restage performance of Tsukigumo no Miko<\/em> when I was ken-3. I\u2019ll never forget that!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ren:<\/em> Ah, definitely, it was such a unique situation since you joined as the only new member, so you had to learn all the choreography, and the fight scenes\u2026 That must have been really tough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Umino: <\/em>Yeah. But when I had been to see the Bow Hall performance as an audience member I was thinking \u2018I wish I could be in this show!!\u2019 the whole time, so I was really happy to be in it. Even though it was difficult, I enjoyed myself \ud83c\udfb5<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ren:<\/em> We were\u2026the absolutely most junior troupe members, after all. I can confidently say that that show is one that only Moon Troupe could have done!! It was really an amazing production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

~Their relationship in Moon Troupe <\/em>\ud83d\udc96~<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ren:<\/em> I think we must have become close when we were in shinjin kouens together, right? in PUCK and Grand Hotel and such we would act together a lot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Umino: <\/em>That\u2019s true, definitely, but outside of Grand Theatre shows we would act together sometimes, and then also we\u2019ve been paired up for dance numbers too!! But I think when we really started to get closer was during the shinjin kouen of Grand Hotel<\/em>. Yes, for sure! I can still remember that. I was so, so nervous\u2026 (laughs)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ren:<\/em> Ah~ I have a strong impression of that too. You were so nervous that your hands were ice cold and your eyes were full of tears and you were saying \u2018What do I do~?\u2019 I was playing Gruschinskaya\u2019s (Umino\u2019s) companion Rafaela, so I thought \u2018I\u2019ll get into the mindset of my character!!\u2019 and held your hand until it was just before I had to make my entrance and then went out! (laughs)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Umino:<\/em> So nostalgic\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ren: <\/em>Huh? You look like you\u2019re going to cry!! Or actually, you\u2019re crying\u2026 (laughs)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Umino:<\/em> \u2026 (laughs while crying) I was pretty pitiful. But if you hadn\u2019t been there for me\u2026I would have had such a difficult time (laughs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ren: <\/em>Even for us I think that was a major shinjin kouen experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

~What they like about each other~<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ren:<\/em> Let\u2019s try saying what we like about each other!! (laughs)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Umino:<\/em> What we like about each other\u2026? I like how gregarious Renkon (Ren) is \ud83d\udc96 (laughs)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ren: <\/em>Hm~ Gregarious? That\u2019s what you think? (laughs)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Umiino:<\/em> Yeah, yeah. Although while that\u2019s how you are at heart, since until now you were in a position where you had to keep everyone in line, you kept a really close eye on everyone and paid really close attention\u2026And then your real nature\u2026 Ah, sometimes you will be a bit pessimistic (laughs) But now that I think about it, I feel like you have a lot of aspects that I don\u2019t~<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ren: <\/em>Ah~ So maybe we\u2019re opposite personalities?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Umino: <\/em>Yeah! I think so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ren:<\/em> As for me, I like your musume-like, feminine aspects, and also how you won\u2019t waver once you\u2019ve decided \u2018I\u2019ll do this myself!!\u2019 \u2026Ah, you\u2019re stubborn, I guess (laughs)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Umino: <\/em>Stubborn!! (bursts out laughing)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ren:<\/em> So~rry (laughs). But it\u2019s really striking to have someone with such a different personality so close by!! I\u2019m going to keep a clo~se eye on you from now on (laughs)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

~About the future~<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ren:<\/em> If there are any goals or something you\u2019re thinking about, out with it!! (laughs)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Umino: <\/em>The future\u2026 Now that we\u2019ve graduated from shinjin kouens, I\u2019d like to get some mental breathing room and really think over things\u2026 I want to take in everything and incorporate a variety of new information into myself, and use that to improve onstage as a musumeyaku! I\u2019m growing up\u2026 (laughs)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ren:<\/em> Oh!! Then I\u2019ll be looking forward to that, then (laughs) If you end up not changing at all I\u2019m going to show you this column~ (laughs). \u2018You messed up!\u2019 (laughs) I\u2019m joking! As a comrade in my troupe I\u2019ll definitely look after you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Umino:<\/em> It feels like you\u2019re my older sister somehow\u2026 (laughs)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ren:<\/em> (laughs) Let\u2019s keep encouraging one another and make great shows!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Umino:<\/em> Yes. Let\u2019s keep getting along from now on too \ud83d\udc96<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chef Ren\u2019s recipe!! Every issue, I\u2019m going to present a recipe using my guest\u2019s favorite ingredients~!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Simple strawberry sauce, not too sweet!!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Makes: <\/em>About 200g<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ingredients:<\/em>
Strawberries – 1 pack [T\/N; I\u2019m not certain but this seems to be around 16 large-sized strawberries]
(if available) Blueberries – 50g
Sugar – 3-4 tablespoons
Lemon juice – \u00bc of 1 lemon (about 1 tablespoon)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Directions:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
